Arctic ROOS will contribute to SAON (Sustained Arctic Observing Networks) with the marine component, building on the existing observing systems for Arctic and sub-Arctic Seas. SAON is presently in a planning phase with the Third Workshop in Helsinki 15 - 17 October as the next milestone. More information about SAON is found at http://www.arcticobserving.org
