Summer school at Svalbard on impact of climate change

The Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research invites in cooperation with Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center, Nansen Scientific Society and UNIS to the summer school “Impact of climate change on resources, maritime transport and geopolitics in the Arctic and the Svalbard area" from 21. to 28. August at Svalbard.

The Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research invites in cooperation with Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center, Nansen Scientific Society and UNIS to the summer school “Impact of climate change on resources, maritime transport and geopolitics in the Arctic and the Svalbard area". The summer school takes place during 21. to 28. August at Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research, “Isdammen” and The University Center in Svalbard (UNIS), Longyearbyen.

The Summer School will accept applications from 20 Ph. D. students and Post-docs in the fields of Arctic Climate, Arctic Resources, Maritime Transport and Geopolitics.

The Summer School will provide air travel from Oslo on Sunday morning 21st August to Longyearbyen Svalbard and return to Oslo on 28th August as well as lodging and food.
